Deep Dish Dungeon Multiplayer

One to three players, peer-to-peer, crossplay on. These pages cover the number, the connections and the mods that change both.

Deep Dish Dungeon is built for one to three players online. No split screen, no local co-op, no dedicated servers — whoever creates the world hosts it. That single design choice explains most of what follows, including why the lobby dies when the host quits.

The three pages

  • How many players — why the answer is three when two official sources still imply four.
  • Crossplay — Steam, Xbox, Game Pass and cloud, plus what does not travel between them.
  • Mods — seven Nexus mods, the loader they need, and the state of official support.

The number, up front

Three players: you plus two friends. The developer has said "3 players max at the same time" directly, and the reason given is design, not bandwidth — the dungeon is built around scarcity, and boss fights and puzzle balance stop working past three.

What co-op changes about the game

Two things surprise new groups. Recipe unlocks follow each player's inventory rather than the save, so a friend who never held leather cannot craft leather items inside your world. And voice runs through in-world intercoms instead of a party channel, which means talking is noise, and noise is what enemies react to.
